Opening Session

Session 1 - 9:00AM - 10:00AM
Workshop Description: Interactive workshop on balancing wellness and technology in the digital age. Learn heart-centered techniques to create community and reduce stress for teachers and students.
Presenter: Stacy Ramirez & Aida “Betina” Watkins
Workshop Description: Nearpod is an interactive presentation tool that can take your static power points with Blackboard multiple-choice questions and turn them into a robust lesson increasing student participation and feedback. This tool is particularly helpful for providing real-time feedback and increasing student participation and collaboration with a few easy steps.

Workshop Description: This workshop equips faculty with tools to support student mental health, recognize distress signs, foster supportive interactions, and reduce academic stress.

Workshop Description: In this workshop, you will learn how to create VoiceThreads and then add them to your Blackboard course as lessons, discussions, or assessments. This will be a hands-on workshop where you can follow along with the activities and add VoiceThreads into your course modules.

Summer Software Day Keynote - 11:30am-12:30pm
Keynote Description: As educators, we have a constantly growing toolset of abilities to further support student success. This session will highlight how combining innovative techniques with modality flexibility goes a long way in helping students persist, getting us one step closer to our Northstar goal of a 70% student completion rate by 2030. Join us as we share lessons learned from a collegewide pilot, review insights into student success, and highlight how generative AI can help!

Session 3 - 1:00PM - 2:00PM
Workshop Description: The AI Assistants workshop offers faculty members a valuable opportunity to explore the intersection of AI technologies and writing pedagogy from an ethical perspective.

Workshop Description: This workshop provides a basic overview of Google Forms with tips for planning and creating your forms using content strategy to design informative and effective forms from the start.

Workshop Description: Join OIRA as we explore DOMO dashboards open to all employees. Learn how other departments and units at ACC are utilizing DOMO to surface insights.

Workshop Description: Since introducing Adobe Express in late 2021, Adobe has continuously rolled out new features and tools to successfully demonstrate the unique ability that Express has to unlock creativity across users of any creative skill level. The most recent Express changes over the previous couple of months are providing easier and more powerful ways for users to design content with text, graphics, images, videos, animations, and audio. No Adobe application experience required for this session.

Workshop Description: Applied Digital Skills with Google will support you as an instructor while you facilitate students to learn new technology applications skills via project-based learning.

Workshop Description: Struggling with online engagement? Engage students with Miro’s visual collaboration. Create interactive activities, cater to diverse learners, and build a more inclusive online classroom.

Workshop Description: This will focus on the use of GenAI to help faculty with instructional and administrative tasks. All the warnings and caveats will be addressed but more importantly the tools for productive and enhanced instruction
