Report Format & Rating Scale
Report Format: On your course evaluation report, you will find the “Global Index,” or the overall average from your course evaluation (see the yellow highlight in the screenshot below). ACC course evaluations are based on a six-point scale, and the average in this example is 4.7 out of 5. You can see a sample report here.

New Course Evaluation Ratings
The new course evaluation rating scale has been brought into alignment with the new faculty evaluation ratings. Ratings for the revised student course evaluations will be determined as follows, based on this five-point Likert scale:
For each section taught, the mean of all Likert scale questions will be determined and rounded to the nearest 0.1. The rating will be based on this mean:
Course Evaluation Rating Scale (Based on the Global Index Average)
Score: Rating:
4.0–5.0: ACC exemplary teaching and faculty expectations have been met
3.0–3.9: Approaching ACC exemplary teaching and faculty expectations
Under 3.0: Does not meet ACC faculty expectations
