Micro-Credentials
While badging and micro-credentials are new at Austin Community College (ACC), some ACC areas already offer them. These badges for faculty, students, or staff fall into one of three categories: competency, participation, and achievement. Micro-credentials are awards based on a certified mastery of competencies through short-term learning experiences. Digital badges are graphic representations of a competency, achievement, or event participation.

Request a Discovery Meeting
Are you interested in learning more? Or are you ready to develop a badge? Please request a Discovery meeting!
Discovery meetings can support faculty and staff who would like to determine what kind of micro-credential meets the needs of their program (competency, achievement, and participation), to learn more about the approval processes for micro-credentials at ACC, and to discuss the process for publishing a micro-credential in Suitable, ACC’s badging host, once your micro-credential is approved.
