
Dual Credit
Congratulations on embarking on the opportunity to share your knowledge, skills and abilities with Austin Community College (ACC) and the Dual Credit program! To serve as a Dual Credit faculty member, successful completion of the Dual Credit Faculty Orientation is required.
Overview
The online Dual Credit Faculty Orientation is available year-round. Any faculty member who wants to teach a dual credit course must retake it every two years. To be placed on the Dual Credit Faculty List, potential Dual Credit faculty must score at least 70% on the assessment at the end of the online training and complete the interactive video portions.
Participants may take the final assessment as many times as needed to succeed.
After completing this training, you will be able to:

- Define and adopt best practices for teaching dual credit
- Practice flexibility with students
- Build connections and establish belonging in the classroom
- Identify differences in teaching dual credit across modalities
- Apply FERPA to the classroom
- Connect students with vital student success resources
- Connect to faculty resources when needed

Dual Credit Faculty Orientation
The training is fully online and self-paced.

Upon successful completion, participants will be added to the completion list. Please allow at least two business days for the list to be updated from the date of successful completion.
