What is Workday Student?
Workday Student gives us an opportunity to implement a modern platform for all student information that can meet ACC’s need for flexibility and growth. Workday Student allows students, faculty, and staff to use features that improve access to information, communication, and user experience. Students will enjoy mobile capabilities, alerts, and reminders, while faculty and staff will have access to dashboards and reporting. This fully integrated technology platform will improve consistency and streamline business processes to better support the educational mission of ACC.
Why is ACC changing from Datatel/Colleague to Workday Student?
ACC moved to Workday to integrate, streamline, and improve the college’s financial and human resource administrative functions. The switch to Workday Student allows ACC to create a unified financial, business, and student operations experience for the campus community.
What are the benefits of Workday Student for the ACC instruction community?
Workday Student provides the following advantages:

- Real-time access to information and reports to do work quickly and efficiently
- Improves access to information, communication, and overall user experience
- Faculty will have access to dashboards and reporting
How is the instruction community engaged with the Workday Student implementation project?
A core team of staff and faculty, functional leads, and subject matter experts from the instruction division are collaborating with our counterparts from Student Affairs and experienced Workday consultants to ensure that instruction business requirements are incorporated into Workday Student.
We have also established a change management team of trusted and respected faculty in the instruction division and leadership of the faculty senate to keep faculty informed about the project’s progress and to solicit feedback. The instruction core team will embark on town hall and stakeholder meetings to ensure active involvement of the instruction division.
What type of training will the faculty and the Instruction Division staff receive?
The instruction SIS Implementation Core team will develop and deliver training in multiple formats, including brown bag sessions, traditional instructor-led sessions, demonstrations, on-demand content, etc.
