Course Approval Process

Complete a Distance Education Course Approval Form to request a new distance education course or update basic requirements of an existing course. New classes must be approved by the Department Chair or Advisory Committee, Division Dean, and Director of Distance & Alternative Education. Additionally, the Vice President of Instruction must approve entire degree or certificate programs offered through distance education.


Scheduling Classes

Complete the Add a Section to the Schedule Form to notify the Office of Distance & Alternative Education that a class is ready to be added to the schedule. The form will be forwarded to the Department Chair for approval. Once approved, Curriculum Services is contacted to add the section to the schedule.

Note: This form is used to schedule new courses and to request additional sections of existing classes. A Course Approval Form must already be on file for the course and delivery mode being requested through this form.
