Finding Support
Do you have an idea you’d like to implement in your classroom? Several options are available to provide different kinds of support:
AI in Education Faculty Learning Community
Sponsored by the Office of Distance Education, this Faculty Learning Community (FLC) focuses on AI teaching and learning. Participants can explore a variety of topics to enhance their understanding and implementation of artificial intelligence in an educational setting.
The Teaching and Learning Excellence Division (TLED) offers comprehensive, long-term fellowship opportunities on a variety of topics to support our vision for Austin Community College (ACC) faculty to lead as models of teaching and learning excellence in higher education. See Artificial Intelligence for Teaching & Learning Fellowships.
ACC provides funds to individual faculty, groups of faculty, and professional-technical staff for projects that focus on enhancing the learning environment.

Professional Development Opportunities
The following are opportunities to grow professionally in the practice and knowledge of AI at ACC. Note: Please check in with your supervisor for professional development credit.
Remote Recess sessions offer an opportunity for faculty to gather online and learn something new in a low-stakes, casual, and fun way. Each session focuses on a topic (like Panopto) and a short demo, followed by Q&A. Watch Remote Recess Session: Personalized Pedagogy: Designing Educational Experiences with Generative AI.
Professional Development Badges & Micro-Credentials
ACC employees have the opportunity to earn micro-credentials on a variety of topics. Below are some options related to AI:
Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals Proficiency Award – Designed for faculty and staff eager to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving world of education, this badge empowers participants to integrate AI-driven tools into their daily work.
Problem Solving with AI (scroll to the bottom) – Created by ACC’s Digital Fluency & Innovation, this five-week micro-credential is open to faculty, staff, and students.
