
Lilly-Austin Conference
The Lilly Conference for College and University Teaching and Learning formed over 35 years ago with the purpose of providing a platform for presentations in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Austin has hosted the conference for the past eight years. The Lilly-Austin Conference is part of the Lilly series of conferences held in different cities nationally, and internationally. The Lilly-Austin Conference is not only a wonderful opportunity to learn and develop as educators, but also a great opportunity to network.
Participants come from across the United States, representing nearly every discipline found in higher education, including faculty and administrators. They are at various stages of their academic careers ranging from post doctoral positions, adjunct faculty, new faculty, mid-career faculty, seasoned faculty, and even emeritus faculty. The conference maintains the same overall theme: “Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning.” Learn more.
Lilly Conference Scholarships Available
The Committee for Faculty Innovation and Development (CFID) in conjunction with the Faculty Center for Learning Innovation (FCLI) and the TLED Office of Faculty Development offers an opportunity for ACC Faculty (Instructors, Counselors, Librarians) to attend the 2025 Texas Lilly Conference in Austin to be held May 19-21, 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Austin.

Upon completion of the conference, scholarship recipients will share their knowledge and demonstrate how they benefited from attending the conference. Options include writing a blog post, sitting for a video interview, and/or presenting a lightning talk to fellow faculty. Additionally, all participants will complete an ACC post-conference survey that will be distributed soon thereafter.
The deadline to apply for the Lilly Conference Scholarship is 5 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025. Recipients will receive their notification of a full conference scholarship within two weeks and will be automatically registered for the conference upon confirmation.

The conference program offers a variety of sessions so you can match your learning preference to the presentations formats: 50 minute concurrent sessions, 20 minute presentations, 30 minute round-table discussions, traditional plenary addresses, and poster presentations. Conference presentations are selected through a blind peer review process. Throughout the conference, participants are given the opportunity to exchange ideas, build a repertoire of take-home skills, and network with faculty colleagues.
The conference will be held in-person at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Austin. The address is 6505 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX 78752.
You can go to as many or as few sessions as you want.
