Academic Alert: Support System to Keep Students on their Path to Success
Austin Community College (ACC) is committed to student success and retention. If a student stops attending, misses assignments, shares personal challenges, or performs poorly on tests, faculty can utilize the Academic Alert System as a tool for intervention. Academic Alert is a feature of Inspire, a comprehensive student support system, that enables ACC faculty to easily and quickly communicate with students who require additional support. Faculty can identify students facing challenges and connect them with academic guidance specialists to help resolve issues and access resources that aid student persistence. It can also be employed to commend students who are performing well or demonstrating improvement in class. Alerts will go directly to the student and/or the assigned guidance specialist.

Please note that academic alerts are intended to provide support for academic performance services. They are not meant for addressing disciplinary actions, academic dishonesty, CARES, or conduct issues. Provide all necessary and relevant information for the academic guidance specialist to effectively assist students.
The goal is to quickly identify the types of support a student may need to get on track to successfully complete the course and to motivate students to continue excelling.
