New Syllabus Policy Announcement

Starting this fall, all ACC course syllabi must include a Generative AI statement—Prohibited, Permitted, or Required. This policy ensures students understand your expectations for AI use in the classroom. View more here.

Master Syllabus Template Updated

From Ron Johns, Associate Dean, Assessment & Evaluation: The template for Fall 2025, is available on the master syllabus website. Please emphasize to your students that they should check the relevant websites for the most current information.  Note that, beginning this fall, every syllabus should contain a statement clarifying the use of AI in the course.  The Artificial Intelligence Draft Policies webpage contains further details and offers some examples running from forbidding its use to fully integrating it into the course curriculum.

If you have any questions, please email Ron Johns at rjohns@austincc.edu.
