The Lilly Conference for College and University Teaching and Learning formed over 35 years ago with the purpose of providing a platform for presentations in Scholarship in Teaching and Learning. Austin has hosted the conference for the past four years. Programs for past sessions and the agenda for the last conference can be found on the Lilly-Austin Conference website.

Participants come from across the United States, representing nearly every discipline found in higher education, including faculty and administrators. They are at various stages of their academic careers ranging from post­ doctoral positions, adjunct faculty, new faculty, mid­-career faculty, seasoned faculty, and even emeritus faculty. The conference maintains the same overall theme: “Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning.” 2019 Tracks and sub­-themes include the following:

The conference program offers a variety of sessions so you can match your learning preference to the presentations formats: 50­ minute concurrent sessions, 20 ­minute presentations, 30 ­minute round-table discussions, traditional plenary addresses, and poster presentations. Conference presentations are selected through a blind peer­ review process. Attendees will be offered an afternoon snack on Thursday. On Friday there will be breakfast, a morning coffee break, lunch and an afternoon snack. On the last day, Saturday, breakfast, a morning coffee break, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided.

Throughout the three day conference, participants are given the opportunity to exchange ideas, build a repertoire of take­-home skills, and network with faculty colleagues.

If you never attended the 2020 Lilly Conference, then please follow the steps under “Request Access to the Lilly Conference Reboot” in order to attend the conference reboot for free.

After your request has been confirmed and you’ve created a profile, you do not need to do anything else.

You have access to the conference reboot. You do not need to register again.

If you already registered for the 2020 Lilly Conference, then you can use the same log in information to access the Lilly Conference Reboot.

You can access the conference by clicking the Conference Portal at the top of the Lilly Online Conference homepage.

You can go to as many or as little sessions as you want. There are also asynchronous sessions available so you don’t feel obligated to attend at a certain time.

Document the session(s) you attended. Share them with your supervisor and ask to be awarded professional development credit.
