Office of Instructional Design
The Teaching and Learning Excellence Division (TLED) Office of Instructional Design provides comprehensive support in course development from research to implementation. Instructional designers (IDs) are trained in research-based pedagogical methods to assist faculty with the design and development of student learning experiences, and integration of technology into teaching. Instructional designers work in consultation and partnership with other TLED support teams and/or ACC resources to provide pedagogical support to faculty and projects.
Our services include the following:
- Consultations for face-to-face course design/re-design and course development.
- Support for creation of instructional materials (learning activities, assessments, etc).
- Provide group training and one-on-one support focused on pedagogical topics.
- Department support (ACAPS, special projects, trainings, etc).
The Office of Instructional Design serves an integral role in the teaching and learning practices of Austin Community College.
